Rubber stamps have evolved throughout the years. The traditional rubber stamps are characterized by its mount and handle. This is then pressed on a ink pad before it can be pressed on a paper or any other materials. These traditional rubber stamps are still being used however, it is now slowly being replaced by a more developed and a more efficient type of rubber stamps. These are called self inking rubber stamps.
Self inking rubber stamps are gaining slowly gaining popularity primarily because self inking rubber stamps are cleaner and are faster to use. The traditional rubber stamp generally require a separate ink pad. Ink pads could be quite messy to keep. The user's fingers or hands may also accumulate ink from the ink pad. Once in the hands, ink can be very hard to remove.
Self inking rubber stamps on the other hand are cleaner to use. The hands does not make any contact with the ink. It can also be readily used anytime even without the aid of ink pads. It already has a built in ink pad which touches the design outline of the rubber stamp once it is pressed. And because it already has a built in stamp, it gives a more consistent impressions that the traditional rubber stamps.
Self inking rubber stamps are especially designed when stamping large quantities as this type of rubber stamp is faster to use. Self inking rubber stamps can also be used with different inks. Once dried out, simply re fill the stamp and it is already available for use. You can also use a quick drying inks for glossy surfaces.
Since self inking pads require lesser amount of ink, it is actually more inexpensive than the traditional rubber stamps. Ink pads could be expensive and they easily dry out. Self inking rubber stamps on the other hand only uses the necessary amount of ink when it is pressed onto the material.
